2012 Campaign Corner: A word from our Chairman

The United Way will be kicking off their annual campaign at the end of the summer. It is an honor to be a part of an organization like the Spoon River Country United Way. This is an organization that is dedicated to the community and dedicated to helping people in need. I have seen the impact of this organization and the true benefit their programs bring to Fulton County.
Whether it is the YWCA, Scouting, Youth Acres, Red Cross, KARE camp, or one of the many other United Way sponsored programs, the United Way supports what is good about Fulton County. These organizations help the youth, the elderly, and the disadvantaged. They help us all. Your dollars and efforts remain in our county to help our own.
Part of the campaign this year will be a contest among our community’s businesses. We will award a Top Business for the top percentage of employees donating. And we will award a Rookie of the Year, for a first time business donor.
