Run a United Way campaign
The United Way for Spoon River Country Campaign is a way for individuals
to make a one time donation or a biweekly, monthly or quarterly donation
to United Way. The goal of the campaign changes every year but is ultimately
to raise a large amount of money by distributing information and pledge
cards through local and out of area employers.
The Campaign starts in August and ends in December each year. The pledges
promised during this time are collected throughout the following year. Payroll
Deduction (a set amount to be taken out of an employee’s paycheck)
is the easiest way to donate to the United Way Campaign as your employer
takes care of making out the check each pay period. One can donate anywhere
from $1.00 and up per pay period. Every bit helps!
