2014-15 United Way Campaign Time!!!!
To “Live United” means that we are willing
to be part of something bigger than ourselves. It means that we are willing to
invest in our friends, neighbors and community.
Our United Way is a leader in community problem solving and a great
mechanism to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one
another. As you know, the needs are
greater than ever due to the many challenges we face as a society and our
network of 12 partner agencies help to create a tremendous system of health and
human services throughout the region.
But, we need your help!
As a Fulton County resident, you may be
interested to know that…
5,000 residents in
Fulton County are living in poverty.
4,300 Fulton County residents are unemployed.
Domestic violence is on
the rise in households throughout our community.
1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 6 boys will be
sexually abused before they turn 18.

Thanks to your support, help is available in many forms through
the United Way for Spoon River Country. In 2014, United Way reached nearly twenty thousand Fulton County residents! That’s an incredible reach, and it involves
twenty-five local programs.
Your contribution to United Way continues
to ensure that:
Counseling and shelter is available to victims
of domestic and sexual violence.
People who have lost their homes to fire are
able to buy necessities and start putting their lives back together.
United Way is also
about providing life-changing
opportunities, such as:
share their time, experiences and compassion with young people
a chance for
people with intellectual and physical disabilities to experience athletics
and summer camp in safe, fun and supportive environments
to United Way is an investment in Fulton County – it stays here to improve
lives and strengthen our community. United
Way depends on your support!

Or you can request a brochure of information by emailing the United Way at email@example.com.
The United Way has brought together people and resources to build a safety net to help meet the needs of our friends, neighbors, co-workers and families.
A constant reminder that when we as individuals think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives as linked to our own, our compassion grows. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We build the strength of our neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our communities. And we change the lives of those who walk by us every day.
